The Occult butterfly is from the most recent update. It is something that you have to unlock, meaning you have to have a certain effect or wing + another certain effect or wing in order to unlock the new effect or wing. Currently, nobody has unlocked the Occult butterfly.
Sealed effect + Ritual effect = Occult butterfly
I don't know what this butterfly looks like, and I admit I am very curious... Curious enough to try to unlock it for myself.
After digging through all my butterflies, I finally found a Sealed effect butterfly. I don't know if I have a Ritual effect butterfly or not. Went back to digging through my inventory.
If I can't find a Sealed cocoon in my collection, I will have to unlock the Sealed effect before I can even begin on the Occult butterfly.
Apprentice + Witch/Nether = Sealed effect
I know for sure that I have Apprentice, Witch, and Nether effects, but I really don't want to back track a step before I even get started!
I'm still looking for a Sealed effect in my inventory. I have been breeding Papillon for a couple of years now, and I have a lot of it in my inventory, folders, and boxes. Finding one thing is sometimes like a needle in a hay stack.
Eventually I found 2 Sealed effect cocoons hidden in my inventory. Now I have enough for 2 breeding pairs. Great! :D
First pair:
Quackers (Sealed effect) + Lilly (Ritual effect)
Quackers is a very nice navy blue, and Lilly is a lightish red. They should have purple cocoons. They are not siblings.
Second pair:
Cupcake (Sealed effect) + ChocolateMint (Ritual effect)
Both butterflies are very nice, close shades of pink. They should have very nice pink colored cocoons. ChocolateMint also has a Lumens wing mutation that may also be passed on to their cocoons. They are not siblings.
I love the magic circle type effects, so I am pretty excited about seeing how these matings turn out. :) I have my fingers crossed that I will get lucky enough to see the Occult butterfly soon.
I would like to know if the Occult effect is also available for the fireflies? I will look in to that later.
